I met my doctor today for a regular check up. After the last treatment I have a regular check up every 3 months, this is the 3rd regular check up since the last radiation.
My taxi picked me up at 9:40, it was booked 9:30 and finally at the hospital at 12:10. My scheduled time was 1:00 PM so I still had time to have lunch. I ate at the hospital restaurant and I ordered fried mackerel with spinach sauce and a little sallad from the sallad bar.
I registered at Oncological ward and waited for my doctor that came and fetch me some minutes after 1:00 PM. We talked about the developments on my recovery and she examined me internally. It’s always uncomfortable to be examined this way but I am used to it now and she is a woman so it is easier than if I had a man doctor. She was also assisted by a lady nurse so the check up was done very smooth and at 1:30 PM I was finally out from the ward. I got another medical prescription.
I booked for a taxi home and it would pick me at 2:30 PM. It came on time but then I had to leave the taxi because the driver would extend his working hours if he would drive me far to our residence. It’s now 2:30 PM and it will take him about 5 hours to and fro and he is working until 6:00 PM only.
Another taxi picked me up before 3:00 PM and I got a phone call from the booking office that it was not the right vehicle and then I had to get off from the taxi again. Oh my! what is this? After a while I got a call from the same taxi driver that I can hop in again and he would drive me home. I said “is it real now?” so I won’t be getting off once again. After the driver had sort out this mistake with the booking office we are finally on our way. Ten minutes later, another taxi driver called me and said that he was waiting for me outside the main entrance. I said I am already on my way with another taxi and the booking office called me once again and sort things out.
Oh so difficult! So it can go with multi cultural society, sometimes they don’t understand each other.
At home at last at 5:45 PM just in time for our political party’s barbecue.
